The Doe

The Doe

Coffee in the morning.
Sleeping pills at night.
The days are dark.
The nights are bright.

I walk the halls.
I lay in bed.
I drive my car,
Still a little dead.

Better than I used to be,
Not yet where I want to go.
Life is a mysterious forest
And I, but a doe.
