The Doll's House

The Doll's House

Don't move too quickly otherwise you'll knock something,
a bit like life, holding on with a prayer and a wing;
I designed a house, clients had bits on every shelf,
with dust and cramming, not good for your health.

The new house had columns and curvy beams in front,
with a large brass ball on the entrance door, excellent,
beautiful living space with Caribbean sea view,
you could see the hurricane coming whatever you do.

Minimalism suddenly sprang into view, no toys,
suddenly scooped up and shunted into invisible cupds.,
only the fruit bowl remaining with a copy of FT,
latest EE mobile, with a smart laptop mandatory.

Visitors shuffled in awe, wondrous at the ball on the door,
I said that I've got balls if anyone wants more.
