The Election Day Blues

Election Day’s here and I’ve got the blues

I couldn’t sleep all night or stop watching the news

Someone’s going to win, but someone’s gotta lose

And some of my friends still don’t know who to choose

Either way, folks are pissed, and it’s lighting their fuse

Maybe this is all an illusion or ruse?

But I don’t see a magic eight ball I can use

No, it’s real so I feel…

that this calls for some booze.
