The Elements

Incandescent within the seams,
A love so strong burns a blaze.
I struggle with feelings and to what it all means,
Is this for real or just a phase?

She takes my hand and soothes my calm,
I would do anything to protect her from harm.
We laugh and cuddle, embrace in content,
Sown together like filament.

And yet we argue, we explode in ire,
In ice she stares, I’m enthralled in fire.
I could tear down the building,
She could rip up the earth and yet we calm quickly and celebrate our mirth.

My best friend and keeper
Our love is our deal,
Were nothing like the movies,
We’re keeping it real!

We’re matched like the elements,
Our passions are grand.
she’s ice to my fire,
