The Eye Of The Tiger

Yesterday we watched something, I never thought we’d see;
Tiger Woods winning a PGA tournament, what a remarkable victory!
But it wasn’t a minor Tour event, he beat all the best there are;
From one year ago, medically sidelined, he has come so very far!

The most unbelievable sports comeback, in the annals of history;
The greatest athlete ever, you have to surely be!
You picked up your broken pieces, and recrafted all your swings;
Slowly, you made some progress, not letting adversity ever sting!

By the middle of the Summer, there was excitement in the air;
You actually led the British Open, till some bogies you made a pair!
But people knew the storm was coming, they felt it in their bones;
Because when you have your “A game”, you are standing all alone!
.
I must admit I had lost hope, of seeing you win again;
But my dear wife never wavered, said, “soon he’ll beat those men”!
So watch out all you young guns, “The Tiger’s” back in town;
Sinking eagle putts and birdies, to score the lowest rounds!
