The Fall

The Fall

With the Fall, comes the fall...
Gray days and early darkness
The sun shies away, as if it's taking a break
The smell of smoke and the crunching sound of leaves, dead at my feet
I retreat- fill my days with music and poetry
Revel in the sadness that consumes me
For I know, come Spring, I, like the sun, will come out and shine again.

Don't like the encroaching winter weather of this season but I do love the colours of the leaves just before falling !

Nice piece.

Warmest wishes.  :)

Yes! Thanks, Richard. I also enjoy the colors, but the time change always does a number on me. I'm glad I'm not alone! ?

Tony, your comment has brightened this very grim day, for me. These are painful lessons, but yes, it is so freeing when we know ourselves enough to be able to fix what's broken by simply creating or engrossing ourselves in beauty. Thank you so much for your support!! ❤️❤️
