The Falling Star

One night I looked up to the sky, and saw a falling star;

It was coming down to Mother Earth, from galaxies afar!

It seemed to head right toward my side, then suddenly did it occur;

This falling star was meant for me, it landed; there you were!

You floated over to my side, your halo shining bright;

You sprinkled me with angel dust, to make me feel all right!

For you knew my heart was aching, and my eyes cried seas of tears;

Since that maudlin night you left me, one month and one long year!

The remedy you gave me, began its magic work;

I felt my eyes start drying, and my heart begin to perk!

Your aura then enveloped me, and blessed my cold with heat;

I felt the warmth of love again, from my head down to my feet!

Your spirit spoke and said to me, “don’t worry any more”;

It told me you’d be waiting there, when I came to Heaven’s door!

And then you had to go back, to the stars up in the sky;

And I knew the pain was gone from me; as I cried out “I love you” !
