The Flowers Have Vanished
Sunflowers grew tall in the fields of plenty
One day as they lay their heads down to rest
Thunder from the dreadful storm took way
Sheets of rain floods of rivers and lakes, snakes crawling to escape
Where daisies and daffodills and red poppies spread, now dead
The revelation of time has come to take overÂ
The sins of mankind too great to heal, now punished by the devils tongue
To not love what is given so innocent so delicate and beautiful
To not appreciate nor respect the hands that feed us
Instead we bite back like rabid mad dogsÂ
Mutant minds corrupt, once a valley of flowers
Now vanished from distruction and anger, the bee no longer makes honey
Society has crumbled in our own eyes gouged out
We have nothing of worth without life and the loss of humanity will be buried with molded money
