The Fly

The Fly

The fly, a wonderous creature,
invading your homes.
It’s small,
but oh how much it roams.
From place to place,
seeking out its prey.
And if it fails,
it just tries again another day.
Looking, looking,
always looking.
Even when,
you’re overlooking.
How dangerous it really is,
it eats your flesh, your skin.
But when it leaves, it’ll come back,
just to see how you’ve been.
Oh, when the fly seems so harmless,
you let out a sigh.
But when it leaves, it always comes back,
waiting for you to die.

Being Me

Oooh...quite sinister. Who'd ever think writing a poem about a fly would work? Well, you did..and it does. Excellent x
