The Forgotten Breed

The Forgotten Breed

A grimaced face reflects in sullen eyesΒ
Despised amongst the tired criesΒ
Flowing from the mouths of the fallen fewΒ
Who knew fate could be so twistedΒ

In shackles, they crawlΒ
Bodies broken and tornΒ
Hearts ripped from chestsΒ
Languish in depths of forlornΒ

Life denied now mournedΒ
Souls burnt to ashΒ
Left to the breezeΒ
Swallowed back into natures path
Never to be freed from the wrath
of life’s aftermathΒ

A lost seedΒ
Be the forgotten breed
