"The Fox and the Rabbit"

"Poison does,
just as it was intended.
Addicts our grave mistake,
was that it was friended.

We were hurting ourselves,
just to numb the pain,
never really realizing,
what we were doing,
was completely insane.

It was a slow descent,
and in the blink of an eye,
we realized,
we lost our will to try,
so we were stuck,
in the cycle of our bad habits.
The drugs were the fox,
and we were the rabbits,
but the insanity of it all,
as we fell to the fall,
we started to come out,
to answer the fox's call.
There was nothing,
left for us,
no one we could trust,
the drug was not just a want,
it became a must,
but remember this,
sweet child,
we weren't born this way,
and you can change,
no matter what,
the disbelievers say,
for if there is a will,
then there is a way,
and I know you're confused,
but there is also truth,
talk right now to Jesus,
as He can restore your soul,
to it's vibrant youth.

It's never too late,
now is not the time to wait,
act quickly my child,
for it's time for self love,
instead of self hate!"
