The gelded stallion

Gelded now I am
remembering meadows where I ran
but new masters have a plan,
though weep I shall not
Humble I may be
surveying all the eye can see
all eunuchs for "equality",
though anger I shall not
Heavy lies the heart
wondering if I played a part
in this death of alpha art,
though fret I shall not
The eyes they do gaze
though the mind starts to pray
fearing stupor from the daze,
though flinch I shall not
Reflective are my thoughts
to the battles that were fought
greater glories that were sought,
though regret I shall not
Right now alone I stand
heroes sinking in the sand
masculine in a foreign land,
defiant I sure am.

Sorry for my rude intrusion. Just wonder what the ending line could be, nonetheless pinned this good piece!
Another look says to me you penned this way
Awww...poor boy!Ā I had a pony stallion once. He was just amazing. I trained him to voice command and he was the best pony I ever had to teach the kids to ride. He was even placed in a pony club class for Best Pony Club Pony. The judges said had he been a gelding they would've placed him first. In the end I had to have him gelded as the land we rented for the riding school had building permissions applied for. If I had to sell up the ponies all needed to go to good homes. No one would be able to take on a stallion as no livery places will take them.Ā
Great poem and a very unique subject matter. At one point I thought this may have been about a war horse x
I cherish empathy!
Very clever poem here! I love the word play, just seemed to drag me in for some reason. I enjoyed it a lot. All the best and kind regards. The Fish of the Sea
