THE GENEROUS MAN

THE GENEROUS MAN

He fought for good causes so the stories say
People, he thought, should not sleep under a doorway
They should have food to eat and somewhere to sleep
A promise to himself he would endeavour to keep

This generous man set up a shelter for the homeless and poor
Queues of the less fortunate walked through that door
This generous man did not receive any encouragement or praise
Something I could never understand for the rest of my days

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

~Ephesians 2:8-10

Just a verse that came to mind after reading this, KIERAN.
Nicely done...
