The girl

I'm not the girl you left behind.
I have new favorite songs,
New favorite colors,
New bad patterns.
I'm a different person now,
My hair is different,
My heart is different,
My mind has been set in stone,
The scars have shifted to create the stars
That let me
glow brighter than before,
The scars that case my body create the most basic structure of who I maybe once was.
I'm lighter than ever with no weight on my shoulders,
My smile tell stories of the struggles I’ve fought,
Except,
My eyes play the reality of the struggles I face,
I'm not the fragile,
Breakable, Scared,
little girl that you left behind
then decided to miss
