The Greatest Joy Known To Man

The Greatest Joy Known To Man

The greatest joy ever known to man

Is knowing we're loved and cherished

More than all the treasures in the world

Each day that love is replenished

Little reminders that make us aware

A touch, those sly loving glances

There's no mistaking what these all mean

Gentle and subtle nuances

One thing I've learned in my 80 years

To recognize a mutual attraction

When two loving hearts start beating as one

It's the start of a loving interaction

It doesn't have to be a raging emotion

Though sonetimes it can leave you weak

They can just be little things here and there

It's mutual, no need to speak

So when it's said and done, it's easy to spot

No need to complicate the issue

Love is very simple, love is an emotion

That finds us begging to continue
