The Groom “Shouted” Too Loud

On the night that we got married, we had a very large soiree;
At Linda’s sister’s mansion, as elegant as could be!
We had a gourmet caterer, that fed our regal guests;
Suits, fine gowns, and tuxedos, to the nines, we all were dressed!
.
We hired a dynamic duo, to serve up music for the dance;
Of course, we had the first one, people toasted to our romance!
Then they pumped up all the volume, the place began to rock;
People began gyrating, to songs by the Disco Jocks!
.
A funny thing then happened, when they played the tune called “Shout”;
I joined them for a trio, really singing my whole heart out!
My Bride got very worried, she saw sweat pouring from my face;
She decided to rescue her new Husband, so to my side she raced!
.
She grabbed the mike and yelled out, “my darling, I’ve got your back”;
“Please stop singing and sit down now, or you’ll have a heart attack”!
I laughed and said, “my dearest, my heart is doing just fine”;
“I’ll give you a repeat performance, later tonight, when you’re all mine”!
.
.
My Bride was worried
That my heart pumped too fast

Dear Tony,
Wow. I've written a portal to your future, although, I am sure that when you serenade Cherie at your wedding, the song will be a little more subtle that "Shout". I love that "you love" my narrative pieces. What an honor it is for me that I can please such a gifted writer.
Love to my Bro,
Larry xxx
