Poem -

The Guard

Pushing us like cattle
Treating us worse than any animals.
There's arrogance in his swagger
But I think , underneath his cruelty , lies a coward.
Without the uniform and weapons,
All of the guards are , little more than a panicking rabble .
I watch him when we snatch rest,
A youngster , just out of his teens at best.
Looking so young , not afraid to use his gun
A killer without qualms.
Would he be so brave facing 'enemies' bearing arms?
Like stated earlier , I think , he's just a sadistic coward .
