THE HEART OF A POET
A passion for me is poetry
in any form and genre
An avid reader of books too,
romance bio`s drama
Writing poetry for me can be..
a release of, deep emotion`s
A helpful out pouring on paper
of love, loss, and devotions
To lose yourself, reading a poets
words, has a magical effect
for sometimes their personality
in their works, you may detect
The writer with empathy shows
a true loving, and giving soul
Writing of love and romance
our hearts sometimes, they can console
A fun side of a poet writes
with their thoughts to make us smile
To read their words so cheerful
are really, so worthwhile
Some poets write of wisdom
helping us to realize
Mistakes that we have made
and we are grateful they, advise
poetry of our god above
and all things that are spiritual
writing on these topics
Can read as an epiphany or a miracle
And so to my fellow writer`s poets
who love the written word
Just write all your thoughts down
in a poem, make what`s in your heart be heard.

Hi Deb. What is so great about expressing our love for writing and poetry, the therapeutical act ot has upon you releasing emotions good or bad. To be able to write about anything and the feeling you get when you have entertained or inspired others with your words. I love the growth it gives you in thought and speech the way you view life and the world. I could go on for awhile lol. Great subject and write, very thought provoking. Peace.

You have said just about everything there is to say in this piece, that we all hold dear through the love of poetry and it is so well thought out and well written too. My favourite hobby is reading and I will read anything about any subject in order to learn because I simply just love to learn. Poetry teaches us so much about the writer and about their lives and life in general. I find writing very cathartic and it is such a great therapy for me and for others. Like you, I too wear my heart on my sleeve and pore my feelings out through my writing. It`s so important to express yourself and it also helps and teaches others too.
Well done for another beautifully put together and well thought through piece, I`m very proud of you indeed sweetie.
