The Holy Grail

The Holy Grail

The Holy Grail was carried into the room
By a mysterious lady in white, who
Was surrounded, by glowing. golden light.
Taken by surprise, the three courageous knights,
Bowed before her in  awe. But two of them were
Struck blind and upon realising that their
Quest was doomed , they swiftly departed for home.
Yet, the chaste Sir Galahad, now on his own,
Perceived a vision of heaven and received
God's Grace and Mercy. Cloaked in perfect peace,
He became one with the angels. He was freed
From all mortal cares and insubstantial dreams.
