The Hopeless Case

The Judge slams down his gavel
The lesson was never learned,
Quietly the Bailiff stands
No respect was ever earned
The ruling that day went badlyΒ
The Judgeβs order is askew,
Your lawyer bows his head
He lost your case and now his too
The empty Courtroom it is cold
As the Judge leaves his bench,
Carrying all the papers of your case
Along with a putrid stench
Where has all the money goneΒ
Paid in retainers and fees,
Nothing ventured nothing gained
Your life savings now is seized
The next hearing the next trial
What do you expect,
To see nothing good come of thisΒ
Corruption you easily detect
Never will there be a win
The goal was never set,
Slowly standing up to argue
An agreement will never be met

I have a similar tone poem on the law, courts and judges but yours is so awesome in rhyming and content. Bias and bribery corruption can plague the justice system yes and you have written great and true. Kudos.
