The Inevitable

The Inevitable

You left in the blink of an eye..
So quickly you slipped away.
A reality we all know and fear..
That our turn will come one day.

You left so many behind..
Why did you have to die?
Though part of you still remains..
Your in every teardrop I cry.

Your blood is running through my veins..
And that beats the tune of my heart.
But it skips a beat every now and then..
Because it knows that we are apart.

Your death has made a huge impact..
I know it was a final goodbye.
And I hope and prey there's an afterlife..
Because honestly.. I'm afraid to die.

I think if you're NOT afraid of "The Inevitable" then you're either an explorer of the body and mind's true potential.... or.... you're an idiot!! (smiles)... please take that with a grain of salt......I LOVE the image you chose to represent your poem... it says so much about the ability of the soul to persist.... and in "KIRLIAN Photography" has been proven to be exactly what happens after the body dies......A VERY well expressed piece of poetic verse dear poet sister!!......ALL STARS!!...... compelling stuff!!.....LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo. : )
Ps. Not to worry... there's something wrong with cosmo....it takes about 10 to 15 minutes for the 5 stars I left you to actually appear on your page!!  : )

This was so beautiful. The end was my favorite part.

Though part of you still remains..
Your in every teardrop I cry.

I had goosebumps when reading your poem.
You have such a great rhyming technique, in most of your poems.
