Rat In The House

There’s a rat in the house, it’s absurdly plump..
Too chunky by far to squeeze past a bump!

It tried for the door with a hopeful dash..

But it’s way too wide to make that smash.

It huffed and it puffed, gave the door a bite..

Chewing the wood well into the night.

But gnaw as it might, the rat doesn't learn..

The door won't budge, the door stays firm.

Its poos? Enormous, a shocking display..

Like chocolate bullets left out on parade.

It waddled and grumbled, then curled in a heap..

Snoring so loud, having a restful sleep.

So now it just naps, the big tired lug..

Too full to escape, too fat for a hug.

And we live with the rat.. no traps, no fuss..

Just one more tenant not paying like us!
