The Interview

 
Linda got a call on Wednesday, from a construction company;
They are in need of an excellent bookkeeper, and that her they’d like to see!
So yesterday, she went for her interview, which went so very well;
They talked for ninety minutes, and everything seemed to gel!

They said they would call tomorrow, to let her know if the job was hers;
We are so very hopeful, that this good fortune will occur!
For it will stoke our monthly income, now precariously too low;
We will be able to start saving, and our bank account can grow!
.
We are trying not to be too confident, that this opportunity will come our way;
For we do not want our hopes dashed, if “no”, is what they say!
But it seems like we are overdue, for a great financial break;
So I think we’ve let our guards down, and future plans we both now make!

                                 Patiently we wait
