The Jealousy Of The Roses

Dedicated to Julie

The Jealousy Of The Roses

A very elegant blue eyed flower,
Grew proudly near a myrtle bower.
Where white roses graced the spot,
Who envied the little Forget-me-not.

Oh simple flower, the roses cried,
You embody a power to us denied.
And display the language of the heart,
With a sweeter colour than we impart.

For weeks the roses jealousies grew,
They stole said flowers tinge of blue.
Proclaiming, Oh how blest our lot,
We're now like you, Forget-me-not.

Dedicated to Julie and her enchanted gardening green fingers.

Pratibha many thanks for your always kind comments and just for the record I have another one in the works maybe tonight or tomorrow night with a Forget- me- not and some cruel black roses.
That one is little bit more magical and dedicate it to your good for your great achievement with your joy to read poetry book Tangles and Knots.
Thanks again and simply enjoy life.😃❤️
Oh and it's called The Little Forget-Me-Not.😃

Pratibha it is the least I can do and hopefully tonight but tomorrow at the latest it's really all there, just got to edit and polish a bit more and usually the idea of the theme and then  its closing verse comes first then work in reverse.
And the images are a real bummer to lose and hopefully they sort it out and will let us upload the desired image to each poem.
After all a picture is worth a thousand words and all that.
And I know EXACTLY what you mean when you say the image is the reason for writing said poem to go hand in hand with your desired image.
And I'm off to read your last week's one my poetic and respected poetry pen- friend.
Hang in there Pratibha and simply enjoy life and poetry and all the good those two magical things can bestow😃❤️.
