THE LAST KISS -BEFORE THE RED SEA PARTS
IN LOVE AGAIN
voiced as the choir sings a Cohen song
distance becomes the nearest im to you
and whispering poetry
together as we drown in whiskey sex and gin
bare floorboards not with design
support our pulses
keeping those souls in time
your short hair
reminds me of the sharp winters night
dark this season
green within the wolf tracks
hidden beneath the velvet sigh
I will not speak
as secrets pour from your eyes
only the quiet tongue
can see so much pain
IN LOVE AGAIN

when we part
as all red seas must
plead for me in those courts
how long can the last kiss
last

this tongue is sewn
