The Last Sunset

You are my hidden place, of peaceful

dreams where the world can be erased

A sanctuary of love unbound, a placid 

lake where worries drown

You're  my garden of eden , where it all began

My diamond amongst the grains of sand

You keep me warm like summers night campfires , 

a hearthstone place that I admire

You are the lightning in my storm, thunder of passion, no longer lukewarm

My shelter from the rain, a place to stay dry when I no longer fear the semblance of the sky

You are a light in the dark , my breath of fresh air after only huffing in fumes

Your a glimpse into a future , rose gardens and picket fences

A view with which you are pretentious

You are the mirror in which my life reflects, a story yet to be told

One step further a glance across the threshold 

Take my hand and don't look in reverse

Look in my eyes , in love you'll immerse

You are the last slow dance I want to waltz

The last hand I want to hold when on a walk

Your everything I want with me

With you I'm ready to gaze at the last sunset I'll ever see
