Poem -

The last words

The memories shimmer
As though In water
Renewed , recycled, unfading
Unbroken

Candlelit shadows
Whispers , echoes
Of the past
Last words repeated

Silently I keep
My own counsel
But the shadow stays
At my doorstep

Sunrise will bring
Solace of a new day
Whilst the night
Shimmers again.

As the sun glints
Off the laughing eyes
Of a child baring your name
I see you, at peace.
