The Leaf Man

This beautiful majestic tree, stands next to our front porch;
It is in its full Fall foliage now, and looks like it’s been scorched!
In two weeks it will shed this coat, but right now, it is glorious to see;
There’s a person standing close to it, that person would be me!
.
Many travel to New England, to witness the Fall’s foray;
But right here in Ohio, we see the same thing every day!
There is something about the Autumn, that brings happiness and glee;
The heat of Summer over, promise of snow there soon to be!
.
I wish I could build a “Leaf Man”, instead of one from snow;
Then never would he have to melt, and much older could he grow!
I would visit him quite often, I would never “leaf him alone”;
I would gently rake his itchy back, and happily he’d moan!
.
.
The leaves are falling
Autumn’s burnt trees are singing
Mother Nature’s songs

Absolutely Beautiful Sir LARRY!!...It is most definitely my favorite season of the year!!.....I like the cool air atop the wind and the smells that accompany it...of campfires and jamborees....colors all pumpkin orange and browns.....the time to break out the jackets and sweaters!!
A "LEAF MAN!!??".....superbly creative!!....Lōve it bro!!......ALL STARS!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!......T xo ❤✴?
My Dear Tony,
I am right there with you brother. Since I was a teenager, Fall has always been my favorite season too. I used to love the smell of burning leaves, when back then, it was legal to do that in the streets. And of course, the chilled air, making the girl you were on a date with shiver, and offering ones outstretched arms, to warm her up. That's my kind of "fire and jamboree".
As for the "Leaf Man", I got the inspiration from an unbelievable character Linda and I saw some years ago, while on a cruise, and visiting the French side of St. Maartens. We stopped at a roadside home, and this man on stilts, came out dressed as a tree. We could not "beleave" our eyes.
Every time I read one of your great comments to me, I say, "go ahead, make my day".
Love you bro,
Larry xxx
Enjoy this.....all smiles....Thanks Larry
Dear Lorris,
Happy you liked it. Smiles back at you.
Peace and Love,
