The Life of my Past

I remember a town
That I have never stepped foot in before.
I was not wealthy,
Nor did I hold many pleasantries.
I am not frightened of dying
For I have lived
A Century before.
The two words come to mind,
Is it punishment, or redemption?
I have seen the world in another age.
And I have seen the rise and fall of man.
I had another name in this different age,
Though none would know it
Until it was too late.
Pronounced a dead beat, drunk insane?
Its nice to see that mortals never change.
I am father to many
A stranger to all
The man in the shadows,
A voice like The Ravens call.
