The Light She Saw

The Light She Saw

Her light in the dark
her eyes that saw
through the cracks
in my heart.

Her smile offers hope
her presence renews
my spirit, my soul.

Her touch of butterflies
high and light,
the presence of her
invisible words give me life.

Belonging and longing
to exist and thrive,
to be held aloft in the stars
of her great eyes.

Hi Tina, hope you are very well. Thank you for your very generous and kind comment. The poem is really about love and longing for the mountains and the solace, peace and joy they bring, they´ve always been a constant presence and my go to place for all seasons. What greater joy than the freedom of the mountains, Mother Nature and all their wild hearts. :) xx
