The Lighthouse

Im crashing against the waves
not literally at all
actually im lost and scared
but not at sea

my spirit is broken
I cant find solid land
I feel like im drowning
from my darkness at hand

ive tried to find a beckon
maybe a sign of hope
but nothing has worked
my boat might not float

ive got to find a foundation
A light if you must
So i put faith in God
in him i do trust

he was the lighthouse
in the storm so dark
he put me on dry land
he saved my heart

When nothing felt right
I gave it all up
now he lives with me
that was alot

He took the darkness
and gave me light
God was the lighthouse
in the storm of my life
