The Little Determined Flower.

In some time, it becomes a stem and is growing very fast.
Then one day, the plant it blooms but the flower doesn’t last.

It’s in the shade, hidden in the dark,
from another flower’s plant.
The sun is just a happiness that fate just would not grant.

For many of nature’s cycles,
The flower bloomed and died.
This poor little wilted flower
Had no choice and was forced to hide.

And there it remained for many years,
In the shadows of other flowers,
It would stay there in the darkness while the others basked for hours.

And then one spring the flower grew,
in a different way, 
And pushed its little head right up,
Towards the sun to breakaway.

Now there it basks in the sun and is the tallest of the flowers.
Now it gets to sit right there in the sun for hours and hours.

See through all the hard and darkest days,
The flower still survived.
It kept on growing forwards even though sunlight deprived.
