THE LOVE

THE LOVE

The loss, the hurt, the agony
The depth of sorrow that tears a heart
The part of you that's gone missing
When death keeps two hearts apart
The heartache, the loneliness
The stain of tears upon a face
It's the gentleness of love and time
That can mend a broken place
Strength comes in the arms of family
As they embrace and keep you strong
God's love and grace that holds you
And keeps you going on
The heart that's still trying to surrender
And accept what death has changed
Like a leaf tossed in the wind
Life gets rearranged
Tears may fall; Like blossoms
And only heaven knows;
All the love God's placed around you
Like the petals that hold the rose
