The Love In His Light

The Love In His Light

His light lingers
Like soft flecks of warm breath on my skin
Reminding me to not give in
To brave the ever rising wave
No one sails through life unscathed

He has tasted the bitter and the sweet
Never afraid to place his feet
beneath a setting sun
For he knows
Even in darkness
Light grows

He challenges my self doubt
Ever devout to seek the truth
He feeds my seeds of thoughts
Which fruit
In plain sight
His effervescent light

I am beholden
Transfixed towards
his ardent gaze
Where I find
Peace inside

A place where I feel saved

Beautiful poetry Gwen , I sense the person to be someone real, as your words have such strong emotion and conviction in your feelings that you do so well to convey to the reader :
" Reminding me to not give in
To brave the ever rising wave
No one sails through life unscathed "
How inspiring these lines are for anyone to read, it's universal advice for any and all troubles one may be going through...... WELL DONE , you make loving poetry easy and contagious ...

Wow Rob you have always been so astute with your feedback on poetry. This is such a delight to read. Yes this is indeed about a real person. Someone who has helped me see the good in myself and the hidden strength I didn’t really know I had. He has made me believe in myself. He is definitely my beacon in life. Thank you for your lovely words. I have missed your amazing commentary my talented poetic friend. Thanks for the pin which I think Cosmo has not quite caught up with. It does that sometimes. All the best to you, I look forward to delving into more of your work 😊 xx
