The Marines- Fighting For What's Right

The marines,
They emerge from the fog,
They fight for what's right,
Like an unleashed bulldog.
They wear those hats with pride,
And the dog tag around their neck.
They put their life on the line,
When this world is a wreck.
They fight for what's right,
At air, land or sea.
And they choose to do it anyway,
Even though they know how difficult it will be.
They walk hand in hand with death,
But do they really care,
When once again,
An enemy plane has been shot out of the air?
I will tell you the answer,
No.
Because a feeling of triumph is awarded,
For every grenade thrown.
Their objective,
Can be to make an enemy boat hit the bottom of the sea.
And, they will,
If it could potentially save their country.
We need to thank them,
For all the times we would run the other way, and they'd stay to fight.
So that being said, former and current marines,
Should stand with pride.
