The mask

The mask

Dear the mask I wear you when I don’t feel comfortable sharing my true emotions with those around me
But I wish I didn’t have to wear you as often as I am right now as only when I’m with n do you come off fully

Dear the mask I wear you when I feel I need to protect those around me from the cesspit that is my brain right now
But I wish I didn’t have to wear you right now as I know some people should know as much as n but I can’t take you off for fear of judgement

Dear the mask I wear you when I know that those around me need to see a happy liz because me being a waterfall would cause more issues than it would solve
But I wish I didn’t have to wear you as one day I’ll just become a waterfall and it won’t be pretty
