THE MIRACLE IS WITHIN

 
By your miraculous touch 
Sleep let go of my eyes 
And I returned to a conscious state 

So sorry, I should of said thank you
But my first thought was 
I have to find a way to pay these bills
A thought that shadowed my every step 

How in the world did I get here
Living in a state of poverty 
Scratching and clawing my way through life
Like a chicken separating grains of sand 
Hoping for a treat 

I was young and free being embraced 
In the arms of my mommy 
Then I said goodbye to puberty 
And immediately financial gravity 
Grab a hold of me 

Now I spend all of my time trying to break free
From my fiercest most terrifying enemy 
Financial instability 

This is total insanity having to face the mountain 
Of bankruptcy and I am not quite thirty three 

Then It came to me in the midst of my calamity 
That the one who woke me out of sleep 
Is more than able to break my chains of financial gravity 

Thus setting me free to experience all he has prepared for me 
So I look to thee through the eyes of faith 
Hoping that you come rescue me 
From my financial instability.
