The Modern Snow White

SNOW WHITE 

This is the tale of the girl called Snow White,

The REAL Snow White, (the other’s not right!).

The modern Snow White she lived in our street

-A good looking girl, a right proper treat.

Her dad was quite ill and her step mum a bitch,

(Nobody liked her – they laughed at her twitch.)

Eventually Snow White said goodbye to her dad,

He died of his illness, it’s really quite sad.

The mother stepped up and so got her name,

“Snow White, young lady, you’re going on the game!”

“I’m going on the game….? I’m going on the GAME…?

Not likely,” she said, “I can’t bear the shame!

I’ll run and I’ll run and I’ll climb every mound…

I’m going somewhere I’ll NEVER be found!”

So off Snow White went – to a place no-one knows,

A dark, spooky place where nobody goes….

Frightened and tired she rested a while,

And dreamt of nice things that made her smile.

She woke in the morning to a very strange noise

And there playing in the woods she saw seven boys.

“Hello over there….my name is Snow White,

I was asleep and I’ve woke with a fright!”

“Please don’t be frightened,” they all said to her,

“Come stay with us and we will take care.”

So off Snow White went to the house where they slept.

She was so happy, she almost wept!

“Where have you come from and where have you been?”

“My step mum doesn’t like me – she thinks she’s the Queen!”

Snow White promised to help all the boys,

So she started by mending most of their toys.

She told them the story of her step mum the bitch

And the boys they all sniggered and laughed at her twitch.

Snow White started cooking and made them a meal

Saying, ”You all look full, how do you feel?”

“We all feel good,” the oldest boy said,

“But now we’re all tired so we’re going to bed!”

They all got their heads down, (the best night’s sleep ever)

And the boys all agreed Snow White was so clever.

Hours turned to days and days to a week,

And Snow White’s stay was beginning to peak….

Cooking and cleaning – every day was the same,

(She was beginning to think she’d be better on the game.)

The boys all came back from their playing in the wood,

Their clothes all ripped and covered in mud.

“Every day is the same,” snow White grumbled,

“Well you don’t have to stay…,” the cheeky boys mumbled.

“But who will look after you? Who’ll be your Mum?”

“Oh that’s a good point, we’ve never had one!”

Snow White decided to help the young boys,

But tripped and fell over one of their toys.

She went head over heels and came down on her head

All the young boys thought she was dead!

“I’ll get a doctor,” said one of the boys,

(The rest they were all crying, making a terrible noise!)

A few days went by and the doctor appeared,

“I’m afraid I can’t help her – it’s worse than I feared!”

“Please try and help her, Snow White we all miss….”

“I cannot help her, it’s a Prince she must kiss.”

So off went the boys to find a stunning young man

To wake up Snow White – one hell of a plan!

They looked everywhere and searched with no malice,

They even went down to Buckingham Palace!

But still no sight of the man of her dreams

They’d searched everywhere – or so it seems……

As they returned from their epic trail,

They saw a young man, a handsome, tall male.

He said to the boys, “Are you alright?”

So they told him the story of the girl called Snow White.

“I’ll come and help you… this one I can’t miss….

It’s ages ago since I had a good kiss!”

As his lips met hers, her eyes they did open,

The boys stood around, most of them gawping!

And when Snow White was finally awake,

The handsome, tall man said, “A good wife you’ll make!”

“But what about the boys? What is their option?”

“Don’t worry about them ….for them it’s adoption!”

The boys were adopted, one after the other,

Although two stayed together because they were brothers.

Everyone was happy, including Snow White

Saying, “I am so glad things are finally right!”

“Not quite,” said her husband, that handsome, tall man,

“That woman, your step mum, well I have plan!

The house that she lives in belongs to your heart,

So therefore that woman will have to depart!”

Everyone stared as they kicked out the bitch

(And they started to laugh as they noticed the twitch!)

“You’re out on the street, now well what can we say?

You’ll have to go to the council or even Gateway!”

The boys were all happy and so was Snow White

-But then you knew in the end it all works out right!
