The Moon Angel

The Moon Angel

Upon entering the room that was hallowed,
The boy observed the sorrowful moon angel:
Who was weary of earth and all its perils.
On his mission, he had sought to heal troubled,
Wounded souls, but as a stranger he had been
Rejected by all too human tribes. He
Now knew that those who dwell in bleak realms of night,
Cannot accept those who are bringers of Light.
And like Plato's cave dwellers, bred on shadow-
Plays rather than Truths, they would stagnate, not grow.
So he stood silently at an open
Window, gazing longingly, at the heavens.
