The mystery of the mushroom 🤣

The mystery of the mushroom 🤣

I bet you’ve always wondered
why and when field mushrooms grow

Well I shall let you into a little secret, but don’t tell the world, it’s not to know

I heard whisper’s within a windy wood, howling thru the forest trees

I climbed inside an old mossy stump, crouching on my knees

As I watched from within my hidey hole, I saw a flock of sheep

Where herds of Highland cows, descended from yonder hill so steep

Each and every animal entered the farmer’s land

Then they all congregated in a circle, as if disgussing what was planned

When a chosen selection of them, from both the different beasts

Scattered amongst the wet grassland, heads down munching their favourite feasts

As they stored their stomaches, so full with green fresh grass

An over-powering odour filled the air, a stench of foul methane gas

I nipped my nose but I was mesmerised, as I gazed amidst the grassy sight

In minutes this entire green pasture, was covered in small balls of white

Mushrooms appear overnight, when those humans are asleep

Now you and I know who are responsible, It’s the Highland cows and woolly sheep…
