Poem -

THE NATIVITY

And all around the world
Lowing animals are seen
All revered
Alongside the baby Jesus
In the timeless
Christmas scene

And all around the world
The animals suffer
In conditions vile
No hay for them
Nor hope
Or kindly smile

And all around the world
They die
Their agonies unheard
Deaf ears blind eyes
The true cost of Christmas
In the tears they cry.

Hi Tony, I don't often post such poems as most people turn away but sometimes it spills out. Millions of turkeys have been raised in disgusting conditions this year with the sole purpose of being killed for Xmas. Nothing has value in our world anymore ...animals mass produced just like shoes or hats. The plight of fellow species unfortunate enough to inhabit our planet saddens me more than anything else in my life...anyway thankyou for your kind words and support 💕

Hi Marion....I believe the reason Jesus came into this world in such a lowly manner in a stable/cave full of animals, was to show that he was humble and loved all His creations. He did not come presented with prestige as a king, as He deserves, but as one of us so we could relate to Him.  He certainly would not want His creatures abused or forgotten, for He made sure they were even an important part of His entrance into this world, surrounding Him at His birth. His mother, Mary rode into Bethlehem on a donkey while 9 months pregnant, and the animal served her well to safety to bring our Lord into the world.  God uses all His creations to show His will.  He said His creation was good when He rested on the seventh day. He put them in to our care.  Surely, if He loves His creations, we should too!  It is why I am involved with "Return to Freedom" that saves horses.  I like that you are sending and important message to us all that during this sacred part of the year, we should consider how all life matters and we have a responsibility to care and take action.  Very powerful words.  Thanks for sharing.  xo ;)  Love n Hugs

Hi Cherie, as I explained to Tony the suffering of animals is one of the main reasons I don't want to be on this planet. When I look at an animal I see a fellow spirit...not a meal. Each species so unique and beautiful...feathers, fur, claws, scales in all the colours of the rainbow...Where did such beauty come from?? The mass production of animals is surely one of our greatest crimes and the effects will kill us all in the end. It is the main reason I feel so alien on this horrible planet. Anyway sincere thanks for your support as most people don't want to acknowledge the truth...but I suspect you feel all this as strongly as I do...blessings my friend 💕
