THE PAINTER WITH NO PAINT

So a nice quiet spot by the river I think
Or perhaps that pub in a field so I can go for a drink
I could choose the market or cathedral in my home city 
Provided I have my paper and paints all locations are pretty

I decided to people watch and started to draw 
Everything was going well and fine that is for sure
Disaster then struck as I started to feel faint 
Can you believe it I had ran out of paint ?

My masterpiece therefore was only half complete 
Certainly unusual to draw people without any feet
