The plight of the might
The moon shines bright
in the thick dark night.
The sun burns in daylightÂ
A star will always light,
But it will have to burn first,
To set the world alight.Â
I know my dark nights,
I see my lonely plight,Â
But, I will show the world my sight,
A strong queen on throne is all that will be visible in the light.
The winds are strong, they say,
I should bow down, they say,
âIf you donât bend, you will snapâ they warn,Â
But, I will stand strong as longÂ
For, that is all I can do
For the bird who housed in me all along.Â
My submission to wind's might,
Will be the reason for her plight.
Unfortunately, the show must go on!Â

I love this poem, the wordplay is just astonishing. Just such a wippy, snapping write that's got a beat to it. Enjoyed!
