The Poet's Light Will Never Die

The Poet's Light Will Never Die

Sometimes, we poets feel the weight
Of centuries upon our shoulders.
Sometimes, we feel nothing will change.
We witness the same days over
And over again. Yet a light
Still seems to glow brightly within
Us, even when the darkest nights,
Fall upon us and cause us pain.
It cannot be extinguished by
The crushing ways of modern times.
This light will spread and be passed on
To the future generations.
