The Promise

It's an ache.
An insatiable itch.
A double edged release.
The leaves sweet crimson kisses with each cold steel lick.
A liquid blessed by life, turns cold and dry.
A sigh, followed by regret.
Another promise broken.
A fools hope that it'd stay away.
