The Promise

When my dog perished, I was so hurt that I cried.
I made my Chihuahua a promise when she died.
I promised that I would eventually buy her a headstone.
I kept my promise to the most favorite pet I've ever owned.
I bought her a headstone and put a fence around her grave.
It cost over three hundred dollars, that's how much I gave.
When it comes to her grave, I'm sure that other pet owners will agree.
When I spent over three hundred dollars, my dog was worth every penny.
