The Reaper Angel and Night Wind
The wind had turned to ice
In a black wave that shook me
I sat there stunned by the vision
Of the angel in black
He was not smiling, nor was it a frown
More a look of curiosity
As if he had lost his crown
His wingtips brushed my face
As I turned to run away
But he grasped my arm
With a frozen hand
His face was before my eyes
Green and black they were
Deep like an ancient star
Burning with unholy fire
I felt his mouth descend
I yielded to a greater power
No need to understand
The act of angel with a woman
He left me burned forever
With a longing no man could fix
I dream of when he will come again
The Reaper angel and night wind
