THE SCHOOL NOTE

The note in the school class ended up with me 
Rather unlucky as the teacher happened to see
Stopped his talk about King Henry mid flow 
What was on the note he wanted to know 

Teacher made me come up to the front of class
I of course wishing this moment would pass 
My body was shaking and starting to feel unwell
Hoping and praying to be saved by the bell 

Seconds passed and the note I had to reveal 
Soon it would be over this most terrible ordeal 
Still shaking I was made to read the note aloud
Taking a huge deep breath my head was bowed

No words on the note but was actually a drawing
Showed a sketch of teacher asleep and snoring 
All the class laughed caused much derision 
While I waited on the teacher's final decision
