The Seance

The Seance

"Is there anybody there"?

The candle flickers in the gloom

A shadow seems to darken

Orbs float across the room

We think we feel your presence

Even though we know you're dead

Did that door slowly creak open?

Or was it something in my head?

The feeling that you're with us

may slowly fade away

Not long since you departed

What a fateful day

The planchette begins to quiver

on my left lets out a sigh

Down my spine there is a shiver

The candle slowly dies

" Is there anybody there"?

the candle re-lights  in the gloom

The shadows again darken

Planchette flies across the room

I feel you presence close now

The feelings getting strong

I smell familiar perfume

and fairly sure I hear your song .
