The Search

The sadness that people make her feel
As they struggle to show her something real.
She searches for those who are not prosaic,
Rolls her eyes at the formulaic,
Longs for a meeting of minds to come.
Still hopes that she will find the one.

And I have met her, knew her a while
Loved her dreaming, loved her smile.
Reminded me how good people can be,
I romanced her as she romanced me.
Will always miss her, she had to move on.
I no longer search, for she was my one.

Hello T...

This is beautiful and sad...

I can't help but, to hear If you love something set it free if it comes back it's yours, if it doesn't it was never meant to be...

Best wishes and blessings!

Hugs...

Hi Sparrow,

Starbucks Lament:
The lessons learned later in life
Are those that sharpen you like a knife
And while he retains some optimism
To be alone is his decision.
And while he watches others flirt with grace
There are some things you simply cannot replace.

Thanks for reading my poem and for your kind words.
